Bernadotte Lutheran Church

We’ve Got The Spirit!
Welcome! Bernadotte Lutheran Church was founded in 1866 by a group of Swedish immigrants who had come to America looking for new land to homestead. The structure pictured above was built in 1897 and this “Country Cathedral” stands as a symbol amid the cornfields; its lighted steeple pointing heavenward.

We are a member church of the ELCA consisting of 275 baptized members. Our Sunday morning services call us to worship and praise God for his many blessings. We also celebrate fellowship during the morning coffee hour. We have active auxiliary organizations for men, women, children and youth along with a Fields of Grace Parish combined youth program. A monthy newsletter keeps our membership and friends informed of events and activities. Since 2003, Bernadotte has been a partner congregation of Fields of Grace Lutheran Parish.

Believing that we are saved by God’s grace and that we are called to be his disciples in this world, we work to share Christ’s love with all people. We welcome you to worship and work with us!
